Martin P. Lee graduated with first class honours in geography and geology from King’s College London in 1975.
He was then awarded a masters degree in geography from Keele University for a thesis on Norwegian glacial deposits.
After service as a fellow at Lancaster University, he became a lecturer at Leicester University.
From 1987 until 2006 he was a senior lecturer at the Royal Military College of Science (RMCS) which was part of Cranfield University.
Upon early retirement, aged 53, he re-trained as a gentleman dance host and port lecturer for the
Saga Shipping Company, Seabourn, Cunard, Voyages of Discovery & the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
He now spends half the year at sea and half the year at his home in Bournemouth.
He also continues to be an associate lecturer of the Open University with over 36 years service behind him supervising MSc dissertation students on course T802.
