Mark Regan MBE is a very popular rugby star and a true character of the game. A tenacious and hard working hooker, Mark made his England debut in 1995 against South Africa.

Eight years later he was a World Cup winner, and was a finalist again in 2007. After beating France in Paris in 2008, Mark retired from international rugby, with an impressive and well deserved 46 caps behind him.

At the age of eight, ‘Ronnie’ was introduced to the game at Keynsham RFC before moving on to St Brendan’s Old Boys minis, and then played through Bristol’s age group sides. His talent and focused attitude were evident as he was selected to represent England 16 Group, 18 Group, Colts, Students, U21s, Emerging Players and England A before winning his first full cap in ’95.

In addition to the stellar 2003 world cup victory, another career highlight for Mark was touring South Africa with the legendary Lions in 1997, when they won the series 2-1.

Not only a star on the international stage, Mark has always been a high quality club man and a consistent favourite with the fans. An exceptionally friendly individual, proud and loyal, he made a significant impact on and off the pitch at the clubs that he turned out for.
He starred at Bath (1997 – 2002) playing 93 competitive matches where he became a Heineken Cup winner. Mark then did a stint at Leeds Tykes where he helped them beat Bath in the Powergen Cup final, before returning to the West Country and Bristol where he played out the rest of his career, but not before helping them finish third in the Premiership.

A world cup winner, Grand Slam winner, Triple Crown winner, Lions series winner, European cup winner, Mark’s credentials speak for themselves. A personality with flair and full of fun, he’s very popular guest at all manner of functions.
