She has over 30 years of retail and FMCG commercial experience working both as a senior buyer for Tesco and Boots and Commercial director for a variety of food companies where she won recognition with an award for innovation and turned loss making companies into profit, launching successful food brands
Today as a consultant and mentor, Karen works with food business leaders helping them achieve profitable growth. She is the author of the best selling book “Recipe for success – the ingredients of a profitable food business” which was shortlisted for Business Book awards 2018.
She is a sought after speaker at food conferences covering key note topics such as food and retail trends, negotiation and turning from loss to profit. She regularly delivers workshops on various topics such as creating brand identity, successful sales presentation and pitching to UK retailers. She is also guest lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and a volunteer Virgin Business mentor.
