CHRIS JOHNSON
Chris Johnson is one of the most experienced freelance
journalists in the UK.
He started his career at the age of 16 as a trainee photographer
on a weekly paper and has had hundreds of pictures printed in
national newspapers. Then in the recession of 1973 he "switched
mounts" and turned to writing.
Chris has worked for several UK national newspapers and runs his
highly successful Press and PR Agency. Known to some as the "Max
Clifford of the North" Chris is the agent for Denise Fergus, mother
of murdered toddler James Bulger. He remains a leading policy-maker
in the industry and is Treasurer and a former Chairman of the
National Association of Press Agencies. Married with two grown-up
children he lives with his wife Christine near Liverpool
